Washington D.C. is the capital of the United States and 24th largest city in the country. It is among the top tourist attractions in the nation for both domestic and international travelers. It is also the site of many famous rallies and speeches, including Martin Luther King’s “I Have a Dream”. Located within Washington D.C. are some of the most visible and famous structures in the country. For example, the home of the President, titled the White House, is located at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. Some of the most popular and widely visited museums are also located in the city, most notably the Smithsonian exhibits. D.C. is neighbor to the equally famous Georgetown, a historic district famous for its brick architecture. Some of the country’s top academic institutions are located there as well. George Washington University is often used by the government as a venue to give Presidential addresses to the nation. Home values in Washington D.C. have values well above national averages. Rental homes in Washington D.C. account for over half of all residencies, which shows there is significant supply for potential inhabitants.
